Tariq called me with exhilarating news—my article was approved, and his boss clandestinely offered me a role as an assistant reporter! He mentioned having mailed me the newspaper a few days ago, and that it would probably arrive soon.

"Mr. Townshell!" I heard the delivery person yelling my name. I was handed the newly printed newspaper. "The Phoenix's Resurgence” was printed on the cover. It was Adhem’s resurgence, it was the neighborhood’s resurgence, and in many ways, it was my resurgence.
